A facility where the culture of Miyama gathers
You can enjoy visiting two facilities, the Miyama Kayabuki Museum & a Folk Museum with a one coin (\500) admission fee. Works of artists who are fond of Miyama and Nantan City are on exhibit at the museum. The genre of works is expansive such as paintings, ceramics, glass, woodworks and illustrations and there are even some pieces of work which are sold in the museum. In addition to over 1,000 valuable materials, the Folk Museum acquaints the visitor with tools and literature of life in Miyama and you can also enjoy the sound of clear water dropping from the Suikinkutsu (buried earthen jar that makes sound when water drips into it) that is also on display.
Various events are held such as workshops and tea ceremony. It is the main spot to come in contact with Miyama’s culture.
