Optimal beautiful park for walking and for picnics

Ohno Dam, was completed as the first multi-purpose dam in Kyoto Prefecture for the purpose of flood control and power generation 1961 and is a dam located on the western edge at a height of 61.4 meters downstream from Yura River System Miyama River. There is a multi-purpose square and walking paths and dam in the Ohno Dam Park with over 1,000 cherry blossom trees and more than 500 trees in autumn which adorn the season. The dam lake which has been named “Lake of Rainbow” is a perfect spot to take photographs. It is a place for the local people and tourists to get acquainted during the Cherry Blossom (Sakura) Festival in the spring and Autumn leaves (Momiji) Festival in autumn.
